Dr. Harding is a recognized disability leader with over 37 years of personal and professional experience within the disability community. He is a two-time U.S. Presidential appointee, seven-time Florida gubernatorial appointee, and has made significant contributions to national, state, and community public policy, advancing the independence and self-sufficiency of persons with disabilities. Dr. Harding is a published author, renowned speaker, and faculty member at Florida State University. He is also the first person with severe disabilities to graduate from Leadership Tallahassee and Leadership Florida. During our conversation, Dr. Harding reflects on the 30 year anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act and how businesses can help to create more access, awareness, and opportunity for the disability community. Dr. Harding also shares his tips on how people who are passionate about important causes can become better advocates.
